Deckled edging. Gilt top-edge. Very good- condition with only minor signs of external wear. Staining to front board. Interior bright and clean. [Harper’s Library of Living Thought].

Sir William Crookes (1832 – 1919) was a prominent British chemist and physicist, who combined a sucessful scientific career with sucesses in business, journalism and writing. (Willam Brock, ‘William Crookes (1832-1919) and the Commercialization of Science.’).
