This type is an excellent example of the influential and singularly sturdy Dutch types that prevailed in England prior to Caslon. It was from the Dutch types that Caslon developed his own incomparable designs. The book was composed, printed and bound by “The Plimpton Press”, Norwood, Massachusetts. The typography and binding design are by W.A.Dwiggins.
