Association copy with one of the first dedications by Margaret Atwood to later life-long-friends Jerry Buckley and his wife Elizabeth on the title page. The dedication still very formal and emancipation from the law of coverture has not yet set in. Atwood addresses Buckley’s wife in her inscription as “Mrs. J.H.Buckley”: “For Dr. and Mrs. J.H.Buckley – with best wishes – Peggy Atwood – March 1970” / Very clean and tight copy with slight discoloration of the cover only.
