Hardcover / Original full leather. Endpapers detached from pastedowns. Armorial bookplate of Richard Meade of Ballymartle, to pastedown. The portraits clean and beautifully saturated. The engraved frontispiece with some creasing and fraying only. Clean tear on page 235. On page 313 a manuscript annotation writes “Eliza Meade”.

Otherwise in excellent condition with only minor signs of external wear. Some very minor and only very occasional staining to a few of the pages. Binding with some inor spotting to the rear board but very firm with the original artwork on endpapers and pastedown. Name of preowner on endpaper.
