Annotations on pastedown, endpaper and within text are focused on crossreferencing Ainsworth’s publication with other contemporaries and their conflicting or corresponding thoughts on Idolatry (Hugh Broughton “on the consent of times” gets mentioned etc.).

This very rare volume on the History of Dentistry is very rare and still very much in collectable condition. This used to be the copy of the Association of German Dentist “Reichsverband Deutscher Dentisten” and the book has one large stamp to the pastedown and a small stamp to the lower margin of the dutch titlepage. One more decent stamp to outer margin of page 31.

This thoughtful work on Irish politics and history was written by an Irish-born government official, and subsequently owned by two significant figures in Irish history, both of whom have left their mark on it. The first was the spy and co-founder of the United Irishmen, Leonard Macnally who has signed and annotated the text, followed by Warner William Westenra second Baron Rossmore who has left his notes and jottings on the Act of Union.
