The collection also includes the original offprint of an obituary for Emil von Behring, published by Hans Sachs in the “Frankfurter Zeitung” in 1917. The rare Offprint by Paul H. Römer (with epilogue by Emil von Behring), is inscribed to Dr.Hans Sachs. The offprints included in this collection are (in order of their publication): 1. Von grosser Seltenheit ! Die Erfindung des Stethoskop’s hier das erste Mal in deutscher Ausgabe mit allen Falttafeln. Aussergewöhnlich gut erhaltene Ausgabe. Auch die reizvollen Falttafeln erstklassig erhalten. Der sehr saubere Buchblock nur mit einigen Stockfleckchen zu Beginn des Bandes. Das rot getönte Maroquin wunderbar im Einklang mit dem original geröteten Schnitt. William Stokes begründete seine berühmte Abhandlung “An Introduction to the Use of the Stethoscope; With its Application to the Diagnosis in Diseases of the Thoracic Vicera; Including the Pathology of These Various Affections” auf die Arbeit von Laennec.
