Very minor tear barely noticeable to lower edge at center fold. Minor open tear to top left corner of sheet. Still a collectible version of this map. Centre fold as issued. Map orientated with north pointing to the right. Latin text on reverse.

Browning evident as is a tear near lower centre fold. Some inked underlining to place names. Minor inked numeration in margin at top right corner. Slight crease on verso sheet. Discreet duplicate stamp from library in Poland on reverse.

Repaired tears to centre-fold. Slight hint of glue-staining along centre-fold. Faintest trace of browning to outer margins only.

Some browning and damp-staining evident to outer margins. Some minor imperfections to outer margins also. Sign of damge to map detail near center fold at right border. Discreet duplicate library stamps in Polish and inked annotation on reverse.

Ink on Paper. [Britain], 1843. 9.8 cm wide x 17 cm high. Very good condition. Some mild browning. From a wonderful collection of maps at South Shields Library (tiny stamp verso (on the back) of this map).

Slight staining to top of sheet. Central vertical fold as issued. Professional repaired wormholes to above centre top border and near centre of map. A very minor hole along each lower vertical border of plate frame. Reverse carries Latin text. The map was orientated with Egypt’s north to the right.
