With an abundance of contemporary Manuscript – Annotations to pastedown and titlepage by William Spread, Esq. of Ballycannon (1738-1776). Hardcover / Full 18th century leather with new spinelabel. Very good condition with only minor signs of external wear. This remarkable, beautifully restored publication belonged to a native of County Cork: William Spread, Esq., (1738-1776), who was married to Elizabeth Spread (born Peard) from Carigheen. Williams signature is on the titlepage twice, (also mentioning Ballycannon) / Other entries, signed and dated are by Richard Draper (1742). Subsequently, the book came from the library of Daniel Conner (Connerville / Manch House).
