Hardcover / Original publisher’s cloth with gilt lettering on spine. Both volumes in very good condition with only minor signs of external wear. Only very minor rubbing to both spines. Deckled edges. Binding strong. Tissue-guards for illustrations and therefore the illustrations and portraits with some browning. From the library of british journalist and conservative politician James Mackenzie Maclean. Both volumes contain his Exlibris “J.M. MacLean”.
