Two corners torn (two pages following the title), corner of page 185 torn and page 92 of the second part of the book with longer lesion within text (no loss of text). Endpapers and pastedown with some minor spotting. All these descriptions of faults sound worse than they are. Interior text, plates and portraits overall in unbelievably clean and excellent condition. Name of pre-owner in ink on title and verso frontispiece (″J.Stilwell”).

In collector’s Mylar. The text and plates throughout with faded dampstain ! Otherwise in very good condition with only minor signs of external wear. This very rare volume on the History of Dentistry is very rare and still very much in collectable condition. This used to be the copy of the Association of German Dentist “Reichsverband Deutscher Dentisten” and the book has one large stamp to the pastedown and a small stamp to the lower margin of the dutch titlepage. One more decent stamp to outer margin of page 31.

Neatly rebacked. Gilt ornaments on spine with beautiful original spinelabel. In overall excellent condition. This thoughtful work on Irish politics and history was written by an Irish-born government official, and subsequently owned by two significant figures in Irish history, both of whom have left their mark on it. The first was the spy and co-founder of the United Irishmen, Leonard Macnally who has signed and annotated the text, followed by Warner William Westenra second Baron Rossmore who has left his notes and jottings on the Act of Union.
